Everything began wiyh the close friendship between the pupils of the primasry school of Bieno in Trentino and the central school of Shimla, the capital of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The telecamera followed the italian teacher, Agrippino Russo, tp Shimla and then in a wonderful journrey among the high Tibetan monasteries. A journey that un winds through two great religions, Hinduism and Buddhism. The film crew explored the world of a religion that at an altitude of over 4000 metres with the monks who still dectate the religious and social life of the villages. The images also show us a world of unspoilt nature, as in the unknown valley of Lahaul, isolated from the rest of the world by snow for several months a year, where the pace of life is still linked to a distant past and where the mountain panoramas are breathtaking.
