The film shows the various stages in the resoration and reconstruction of the Siega de Valzanca carried out over a period of two years. Following a short introduction on watermills, once quite common in alpine valleys, the documentary interviews some old sawyers whose stories greatly contributed to the initial historical research. In conclusion the film demonstrates how the watermill works and highlights the simple and efficient action of this machine that does not waste resources or pollute the environment.
