Dumitru Stanciu is one of the last mountain shepherds in the Carpathian mountains. As his forefathers have done for generations, throughout the year he roams over in Transylvania. The film recounts the stories and myths of the mountains, which follow one another during the course of the year, far from the frenetic life of the modern world. The last account of a forgotten occupation in Europe.

Titus Faschina
Born in Berlin in 1964, he obtained a diploma in theatre and communications science at the University of Arts in Berlin. He began his film career as an assistant at Deutscher Fernsehfunk in 1982. In 1993 he directed the "German Theatre of State" in Temeswar, Romania. Between 1999 and 2010 he made numerous documentaries and films, including “Close to heaven" (2010) and "Karpaten Winter" (2005).
