On a plateau at an altitude of 3600 metres, the dawn sun illuminates the fields and hills, the wind refreshes the senses and the gaze stretches out into the distance. Around midday, the clouds lift slowly and the mist comes closer, alternating with the rays of the sun. The film documents the life of the community living in this remote area in the Andes in Ecuador, a community which faces the challenges of the environment in a solidly united and independent manner. This way of life means that the interests of the community are placed above those of individuals. Observations, interviews and images take us on a journey through the life of a population which combines tradition and progress.
