Woodcutters and muleteers live in a personal dimension which follows the natural timescale of the seasons. The documentary recounts their lives and sacrifices in Pescasseroli, in the middle of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, one of the most beautiful areas of Italy. Here the synchronisation of events encounters a dimension forever in balance between the spirituality of those observing the immensity of nature with respect and everyday reality, linked to survival and jobs which are among the most dangerous and least profitable.
