Wedged between the harsh terrain and the roasting hot sun, the Lucano farmer talks to the clouds, the sky and the sun. Everyday life is pervaded by ancient rites and magical formulas. Even illness is a sign of the supernatural. When a child is born, seven fairies will come to touch his forehead, under the rays of the moon.
