Valle di Cembra, Trentino. In the context of one of the most picturesque terraced landscapes in the alpine area, given over almost exclusively to viticulture, two generations of farmers tell their stories. While the actions of men in the vineyards appear almost unchanged, the new generation seems to ask more questions about the contradictions of mountain agriculture, giving particular value to environmental sustainability, crop diversification and safeguarding of the landscape. Rare archive footage alongside present day images tell the story of man’s labours and the pace of the seasons.
