During its long winters the Lozère region is whipped by driving wind and snowstorms that have led to the proliferation of stories and legends linked to witchcraft, to the extent that in the local dialect the word blizzard means both the atmospheric phenomenon and bewilderment of the soul. Pierre-Yves Vanderweerd spent three years in the area together with his flock, observing sorcery practices and patients at a famous psychiatric hospital in order to recount the power of an ancestral bond between man and nature.
