Transgressions by the armies on both sides continue without interruption along the frontier between India and Pakistan, underlining the symbolic hostility between the two nations. Adopting an atmosphere recalling Waiting for Godot, Outpost takes us to the frontier in the desert, where two lonely sentries face one another from their respective positions, sharing the same desires: a powerful anti-mosquito spray, a good drink and some form of human contact.

Shiva Shankar Bajpai
Shiva Shankar Bajpai obtained a diploma in art and photography from the University of Windsor and studied direction at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He has worked on several films (including The Darjeeling Limited, Synechdoche and New York) and has directed several television adverts, documentaries and short films, including Raju, selected for numerous festivals.
