Tortel is a tiny municipality in Chilean Patagonia. Here a group of women gather together to wait for the arrival of a naval ship that docks each year at the end of the winter, to provide the town with the food supplies necessary for the survival of its inhabitants and subsequently to load piles of cypress trunks. It is a very important moment for the inhabitants of Tortel, but for us as spectators it represents a splendid excuse to immerse ourselves in a landscape carved out by the wind and ice.
