What do we look at when we observe images of landscapes? What is the relationship between the time of the image and our own experience? What pleasure do we get from contemplating nature? Imàgenes de ningun lugar takes the form of a film essay, combining archive footage, photographs, miniatures, drawings, original filming and an extensive series of citations ranging from Rainer Maria Rilke to Raul Ruiz, to guide us through the work of Ernst Standhardt. He was a German climber and photographer surrounded by an aura of legend, who first photographed the Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy.
