The existence of the Adamello glacier, the largest and deepest in Italy, is menaced by the increase in temperatures. In 2015 the Fondazione Edmund Mach, Muse Museum and Bicocca University started up the Pollice research project. A group of researchers are involved in studying the biggest glacier in Italy, searching for evidence of the history of climate change and the modifications to vegetation in the last few centuries.
