The documentary explores the different phases in the life cycle of the brown bear in the eastern Alps, following the lives of a male and female bear through the seasons. From courting in spring, summer in the pastures and the search for food in autumn, to winter hibernation, reawakening and the appearance of cubs, the film paints a delicate portrait of alpine forests and their most imposing and charismatic inhabitants.
