There are hundreds of abandoned towns, villages and hamlets scattered along the whole ridge of the Apennines. The film, drawing on a research project and journey, tries to reconstruct recent depopulation processes. From Emilia and Calabria to Campania and Abruzzo, the stories, places and figures interweave in a single voice of the Apennines, in which similar events and trends unite geographical areas that are also very distant from one another, imagining new prospects and possible projects taking root in the mountains.
