Behind a workshop covered in green dust, an old man turns a stone on a milling machine. With a melodious Thai accent, the mother recounts her arrival in Italy. The father recalls the history of his forefathers and the working of soapstone. The events are repeated from one generation to another, together with the dark forces that join them. Just like the spirituality expressed by the Thai culture and in the mountains of Valtellina, the tensions never reach breaking point, but make up part of the whole and give substance to existence.
