After thirty years of public life and thirty books to her name, Susanna Tamaro has decided to take off the mask she has always used to protect herself, saying that she just wants to be known as Susanna. She has thus removed the protective filter contributing to making her hostile to the world, hiding a reality to which she has only recently given a name, linked to a disorder making her feel different for the whole of her life and that she now feels she can share: Asperger syndrome.
