In the 1930s, the subject of colonialism was of primary importance for children's schooling. The fascist representation of Africa to young children aimed at concealing the infamies that the politics of command and of extermination had carried out. Italian colonialism is still hidden in darkness. AFRICA BIANCA tells the story of the fascist invasion of Ethiopia through the lens of a child’s school drawings.

Filippo Foscarini

He graduated from Ca' Foscari University in Venice with an arts degree. He went on to study documentary film at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Palermo.

Marta Violante

She studied documentary film at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Palermo. A graduate of the University of Valencia, with a degree in Audiovisual Communication, she lived in Mexico for several years.
