Benno was born and raised in Südtirol, a land of linguistic minorities, where Latin languages such as Ladin, and Germanic languages such as Mocheno offer a wealth of terms that are often untranslatable, because they describe phenomena linked to the landscape, history and culture of the place. The film unfolds through 4 encounters with people who speak these languages on a daily basis and have to deal with being “in a minority”. The film is a homage to these languages, to promote and conserve diversity.
