Framed by the Austrian Alps, there is one of the most prestigious skiing high schools in the world: Stams. An institution for young athletes chasing their dream to become champions. We accompany them through their meticulously timed routines of training, lessons and boarding school life. Through the ups and downs of competition and the injuries that come about. A film about growing up with high hopes and great sacrifices, with, among the protagonists, the young ski jumper from Trentino Martina Ambrosi.

Bernhard Braunstein
Born in Salzburg, Austria in 1979, he studied communications at the University of Salzburg. He then spent several years in Paris where he made the documentary film ATELIER DE CONVERSATION. Since 2009, he has worked regularly with Swiss artist and filmmaker Daniel Zimmermann and is co-creator and editor of the latter’s STICK CLIMBING (Trento Film Festival 2011) and WALDEN (Trento Film Festival 2019).
