D. Piedade is an old mouse who lives in a small village in the mountainous interior of Portugal. Her existence is mainly composed of loneliness and memories. Using a strong memory that drives her to act, she returns to where she was happy, hoping to regain some kind of new happiness.

Emanuel Nevado
Emanuel Nevado (1980) is a Portuguese animator and director of animated films. In 2014, he completed a master’s degree in Directing and Stop Motion Animation at the Escola d’Animació de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. He is the creator of five independent short films and currently works primarily as an animator, screenwriter, director, and puppet maker.
