Tattooed hands gently glide over a rock face, probing it with the tips of the fingers. Three women, arms raised to a high boulder, appear to be in prayer. Hidden in a cave, two others stare at their bloody palms. FILM DE ROCHE depicts bouldering as a pagan ritual.

Director

Laurence Olivier

Laurence Olivier is a filmmaker and writer originally from Quebec who now lives in British Columbia. Her fiction film SUMMER 2000 has won numerous awards, including the Iris Award for Best Short Film at the Gala Québec Cinéma. She is the author of the novel “Répertoire des villes disparues,” adapted for the screen by Denis Côté.
