If the mountains could speak to us, would we know how to listen? PER SILENZIO E VENTO explores the spiritual bond between human beings and the mountain environment, going beyond the idea of mountaineering as a conquest or hedonistic pursuit, transforming it into a profound form of listening. Through the eyes of writer Matteo Righetto and his encounters with mountaineers, academics and people living and working in the mountains, the film reflects on the ethical value of high-altitude areas in an era of ecological crisis and overtourism.

Marco Zuin
A filmmaker and trainer with a degree in DAMS (Performing Arts, Music and Entertainment), he has made documentaries by seeking out stories from around the world. With Niente sta scritto (2017) he won the Cinema Paralimpic Award. For years he has run workshops in schools to pass on to young people the idea of cinema as an act of active citizenship. His approach places the social at its core, understood as sociality and a sense of community.
