In 2005, Alex Bellini set off from Genoa on a challenge never previously attempted: to row solo across the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. After 227 days and 11,000 kilometres, he landed in Fortaleza, Brazil. Twenty years later, the film reconstructs the journey using only original mini DV footage.
