On paper, it looks like an impossible task: assembling a women's ice hockey team in the shortest possible time so it can participate in the 2009 Asian Games. A determined coach decides to give it a try, although the athletes he has recruited are a ragtag bunch. Among them is Lee Ji-won (played by Su Ae, a star in her home country), who fled North Korea to find her younger sister. This is the female sequel to Kim Yong-hwa's blockbuster TAKE OFF (2009, GUKGADAEPYO). RUN-OFF is presented at the Trento Film Festival in cooperation with the Far East Film Festival in Udine.
