The series THE DOLOMITES. VERTICAL STORIES, devised and directed by Emanuele Confortin and produced by the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, traces some of the climbs that have shaped the history of mountaineering in the Dolomites.
In the episode entitled RITORNO A CIMA MUGONI, Luigi Dal Re repeats a historic route in the Catinaccio massif. The series continues with CIVETTA, LA PARETE DEI SOGNI, where Claudia Mario climbs the Aste Susatti route on Punta Civetta, and then SASS MAOR, IL SOGNO NEL CASSETTO set in the Pale di San Martino mountains. This reveals the aspirations of young mountaineer Sofia Mott as she repeats the century-old Solleder-Kummer route, opened in 1926 on the massive east face.
