Lee Byeong-gu, a young man with a troubled past, is convinced that an alien invasion is imminent and that in order to prevent it, it is necessary to find and neutralise Andromeda PK 45's emissary on Earth. He believes he has identified him as Kang Man-shik, the head of a major pharmaceutical company. Lee Byeong-gu kidnaps the alleged alien and locks him in his basement. It is a genuine cult film, not just in South Korea. In 2025, Yorgos Lanthimos made a loosely based remake entitled BUGONIA, starring Emma Stone.
