The film tells the life story of Antonio Gobbi, known as Toni (1914-1970), a famous Italian mountaineer and mountain guide. After growing up in Vicenza in an upper middleclass family and obtaining a degree in law in 1940, Toni decided to change his life. He moved to Courmayeur and contributed to important climbing feats in the Alps and around the world. It is the story of a man who followed his passion with determination, leaving behind him a trail that has stood the test of time, after more than 50 years.
