They are mountain refuge managers, extraordinary women who have chosen to live and work at high altitude, in an environment at times characterised by unfavourable conditions, seeking their place in the world with strength and determination. Through their commitment and dedication, they have become the custodians of these magnificent places, showing the force and courage of women in a role traditionally associated with men.
