2026 International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP)
The UN has designated 2026 as the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP), with FAO acting as lead agency. Trento Film Festival has always been attentive to issues related to biodiversity, often safeguarded and preserved by sustainable pastoralism, and is obviously sensitive to the challenges facing the sector in the mountains. As part of this year’s programme, the Festival is thus offering a thematic ‘itinerary’ made up of films and events focusing primarily on pastures and herders, in all their diverse forms.
