In addition to the official prizes awarded by the international jury and the fourteen special awards, the Trento Film Festival also awards two audience prizes each year. Festival audiences were able to vote in the MyTFF area of the website, assigning a number of gentians corresponding to a score from 1 to 5. The sum of the votes selected the two winners for the 2026 edition.

The Audience award – Best mountaineering film Rotari went to Girl Climber by Jon Glassberg (USA/2025/82′), which follows the adventures of professional climber Emily Harrington. Emily has conquered Everest, 8,000-meter peaks, and dominated the world of competitions, but her greatest challenge lies elsewhere. To cement her position in the often male-dominated climbing world, she sets her sights on a 24-hour ascent of El Capitan in Yosemite, which will be the pinnacle of her career. During this highly ambitious undertaking, a near-fatal fall forces her to confront the limits she’s willing to face.

The Audience awards – Best full-length DAO was assigned to Courma et Courmayeur by Elettra Gallone (Italy/2025/79′). Courmayeur is a town at the far end of the Aosta Valley, on the slopes of Mont Blanc. It has 3,000 inhabitants and a quiet lifestyle, marked by the rhythms of the mountains, sports, nature, and human connections. It is also a renowned tourist destination, favored by Milanese clientele. During weekends and winter holidays, it transforms into Courma: roaring engines, nightlife, and clubs dedicated to nightlife and luxury. The snow becomes a playground, and the mountains provide just a backdrop.
