This is the "photographic summary" of the international conference, held this year at Capanna Marinelli, in the Bernina Group, among mountaineers and doctors representing mountain rescue organizations, established in Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Yugoslavia. The purpose of the conference was to unify, as far as is appropriate and possible, rescue systems and equipment; but special emphasis was given to the ways and means by which every mountaineer should know how to perform immediate and sudden rescue action.
