A group of five mountaineers from Como, during the austral winter of 1959 and in the spazion of thirty days, reached, for the first time, unidici peaks, all higher than 5,000 meters, of the Vilcabamba Cordillera, in southern Peru, between Cusco, the city of the Incas and Lake Titicaca.
