Hindukusc is the great Asian temptation of every mountaineer in the world. A large and well-organized Polish expedition sets out on the roads of Pakistan to reach the plateau that rises between the Caracorum and the Iranian Plateau. The film, in the first part, is also a meticulous report on the life and customs of the people of these places. Having planted their base camp, in turn these men venture to higher and higher altitudes to acclimatize. After several stages of approach to the summit, at dawn on August 28, 1960, the men of the Polish expedition launch the final attack that will end late in the evening with the flag planted at an altitude of 7600.
