In Courmayeur, in the upper Aosta Valley, at the foot of Mont Blanc and overlooked by the "tooth of the Giant," is the Alpine military ski school. At this school, a group of young Alpine men take ski courses that are considered among the most qualified of their kind. For months and months, until perfection which is the guarantee for themselves as well as for others, they perform all the exercises prescribed by the school and which can be grouped into five major categories: stability exercises, uphill turns, turns, turns with Stemm and parallel downhill turns.
