On July 17, 1865, four Aosta Valley climbers planted the Italian flag on the summit of the Matterhorn. That date is commemorated in the documentary, filmed on the Matterhorn and in Valtournenche. An ascent was organized that retraces the route blazed by the Italians a century ago, and descendants of the climbers of the time, Jean Bich and Luigi Carrel, also participated.
