Bosco Gurin is a little community which lives at an altitude of 1500 metres in a valley of Val Maggia, near Locarno. This german-speaking community come originally from the Rhone Valley and emigrated here in the XIII century, maintaining its tradition and their names, which are still the ones of the fouders of the village: Sartoti, Della Pietra, Pedrazzi, Elzi, Tomamichel and Bronz.
