This movie shows the linguistic areas in which Ladin is still spoken, in Swizerland and in Italy. The ancient Rhaeto-Romanic area has disappeared, and nowadays only little groups of popolation that speak Romansh and Ladin has survived, as the Canton of Graubunden in Swizerland and in Italy on the Dolomites (Val Gardena, Val di Fassa and Val Badia) and in Friuli. The widest linguistic group is certanily that of Graubunden, consisting in more than 50000 people, with their schools, their grammars and their literary tradition.
