Among the populations that lives in the area of the Appalachian mountains, in the north of U.S.A, can be observed a high percentage of infant mortality. For this reason and to treat all the inhabitants of this mountain area had been created the Institute of the border infirmary, that reaches the most isolated huts and deals with the difficult sanitary problems of the population.
