A Polish expedition reached Pakistan in 1976 to climb K2, the highest peak in Karakorum and the second highest mountain in the world. The expedition guided by Janusz Kurczab, includes more than 250 porters who will travel 150 km with the Poles carrying a load of 6 tons to a height of 5000 metres. Bad weather delays the climber's plan, but, on 12th August, they decided to start the climb of K2. Neither of the two ropes, unluckly, will succeed in their taks, due to technical problems.
