The film explores the culture, customs and traditions of the Ifugao population in the north of the Philippines. Ifugao, the name of the people and the place, is situated near the famous Banaue rice terraces. This population has maintained its culture for centuries but now modernization and the tourist invasion threaten their condition. The film shows this dilemma in the light of external influences that demostrate how much these things can confuse this population.
