This is a documentary about the German explorer Carsten Niebuhr, born in Hannover in 1733. His tracks are followed across Egypt, the Arabian Republic of Yemen and Iran where the explorer went with a Danish expedition in order to map Arabia Felic. After a long journey lasting 7 years from 1761 to 1768 he returns alone.
