A group of American climbers cross China and Tbet to climb the north wall of Everest, opening a new way on the highest mountain in the world. This film shows the various stages in this venture carried out by seventeen mountaineers including marthy Hoey who wanted to be the first woman to climb Everest and who died during the climb.
