The highest mountain in the world, Everest, is also the most dangerous. This film stresses the mportance of the care that must be taken and the conscience of one's ability when climbing. An English expedition makes an attempt in 1982, with mountaineers and cameraman of great skill such as Joe Tasker and Peter Boardmann. Both lose their lives on the mountain slopes on 17 May 1982. The film contains material shot by Tasker.
