GIORNI DI MONTAGNA E, VENNE L'INVERNO
ANGELO CARLO VILLA
Italy / 1984 / 44'
Using Ibsen's drama, Peer Gynt, as a subject, this film narrates the choice of a young university student, Henry, who gives up the ills of modern life and corrupt campanions and lives in exile on the mountains where he spends the whole winter alone. Only his mother and Solvejg stay close to him. The long winter gives him time to examine his past life and he comes to the conclusion that, at the age of twenty, he still has everything to live for.
