The film reconstructs a task that disappeared some time ago in Lessinia and elsewhere: that of making charcoal for domestic use. the various stages of the work were filmed thanks to a careful reconstruction in a wood near Giazza in the province f Verona. The same workers of this old job collaborate in documenting an activity which made the inhabitants of the area famous.
