The film takes the viewer to the northern regions of the Canadian Artide and recounts the voyage of the ice-breaking ship "Pierre Radisson" from Ninisivik on the island of Baffin to Eureka which is the northernmost town in the world. The film shows scenes of regions visited by a television team for the first time. During the journey we meet eskimoes, polar bears, musk-ox and a man from Berlin and another from Vienna who talk about their experiences in the Artide.
