This film illustrates Sir Edmund Hillary's work among the Neaplese sherpas. He helps them to build schools and hospitals, repairs monasteries and other important buildings. He also takes part in the life and ritual of his friends, the sherpas. He is particularly fond of the children in the region who think of him as a special friend and benefactor.
