In Palù, in the upper Val dei Mocheni, a German ethnic-linguistic island in the middle of the Trentino, the "recruits" are the centre of all the important celebrations during the year. Among the most important events of these people should be remembered the "Star", the traditional carneval and processions. This film follows the recruits called up in 1966.
