In this film Hans Greither talks about the life of small animals of prey such as the marten, the stoat, the badger and the fox which hunters call harmful. The director, Joachim Ruhstein, who is very fond of the animal world, observed the life of these shy creatures for seven years both in summer and in winter. Only one who has had the chance of seeing the stoat in liberty, even once, can understand how much preserverance is required to catch the fast animals with the camera.
