For three and a half months a husband and his wife, Geraldine and Danny, travel on foot across some of the highest volcaoes in the world, in an area of the Northern Chlean Andes, still not clearly defined on the map. She is a doctor and he is a painter and entomologist. They make this long journey with the help of seven lamas that have been trained for this purpose. It is a very personal story including adventures and mishapes and also discoveries and conquests in this place which is halfway to the sky.
